Thanks for stopping by.

Couples wishing to have a courthouse wedding ceremony versus a religious wedding ceremony will often request a Justice of the Peace. Tennessee law does not recognize a Justice of the Peace for this purpose. However, specific current and former elected officials are authorized by law to perform civil wedding ceremonies. A courthouse style wedding is a flexible alternative to a minister.

Nashville Weddings specializes in alternative wedding ceremonies. We can perform marriage ceremonies for couples of any religious background including non-denominational wedding ceremonies. We have free sample vows, or you can write your own.

Our marriage officiator will perform a flexible alternative court house-style ceremony that you can modify to suit any type of wedding from a simple wedding to an elaborate ceremony. Please see our Fees page for our wedding ceremony options.

Tennessee is one of the least restrictive states in the nation in which to get married. There is no blood test, no waiting period and no witness required to get married in Tennessee.

Our wedding officiant has performed professional weddings, basic weddings and affordable weddings for thousands of couples. In fact, our officiant has performed more weddings than anyone else in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Let’s meet him. Meet Bill Covington
